One of the most contributing designers at Iconfinder, Picto Foundry, has just released a new range of vector which are very suitable for iOS 7 development. In this Designer Spotlight you can get glimpse of who is behind these new great icons.
Who is behind Picto Foundry?
For the longest time, Picto Foundry consisted of just myself, Cory Shoaf, but now I have two awesome teammates, Tyler Wanlass and Matthew Elsey. Tyler is a entrepreneurial wizard who’s been an amazing source of ideas/advice to Picto Foundry and also has a lot of work invested in our icon web-font. Matt is my go-to web professional who has helped me set up a great experience for our customers.
How would you describe yourself?
A humble human, who believes in good karma, good people and great conversations.
Where are you located?
Currently working and playing in Northeast Ohio.
What is your focus of work?
I focus on mainly user interface and icon design.
Tell us about something interesting you’re working on at the moment?
I started a coatings business this summer that works with metal and wood. I have some really great, steel wall signs coming out and should be available at the beginning of December.
What’s the best thing to happen to you this year?
In March, I got engaged in Jamaica to my soul mate, Ashli.
Which current business would you most like to own and why?
I’ll be honest, one would probably say that I have too much on my plate. But one day, I will have my own restaurant & bar.
What’s your favorite working environment?
I love working in an open environment where people can feel comfortable sharing and expressing their own ideas and opinions.
