In this case study we will showcase how new, custom-made icons were created to refresh the UI of Adept, an engineering document management product by Synergis Software. Adept helps to find, manage, and secure access to enterprise engineering and related documentation.
Iconfinder has always relied on prototyping when building our own platform. We also believe that the icons we provide help many web and app designers to become quicker and more efficient in creating mockups and prototypes.
Hooray! Today we hit a big milestone. We finally reached one million icons. We have spent 8 years getting to 500,000 icons in 2015. But in a year we have now doubled in size. Currently, around 50,000 new icons are added to Iconfinder per month.
Seeing the number 1,000,000 is almost unreal. Having worked on Iconfinder alone in a one-bedroom apartment into a growing marketplace with a passionate community and a great team is a surreal experience. To me it doesn’t feel like a long time, but looking back there have been many interesting steps in the process.
In a world defined by rapid change, the creation of valuable solutions has become more complex. That is where collaboration becomes key. Today Iconfinder is proud to announce that our new & improved sales analytics tool has been released. We have the world’s largest database of unique icons, but what does that matter if we don’t have what people are looking for? So we decided to help the contributors figure out what people want.
October 15th marks a happy day, when the first ever design conference exclusively for icon designers was held by Iconfinder. The event took place at The Old Rubber Factory in Amsterdam and gathered designers from around Europe and The United States in order to celebrate icon design, network, and learn from some of the most experienced pros in the industry.
